The 10th annual Gun Show and Sportsman’s Flea Market has come and gone. The show was the biggest such event that we have ever held, and it was a tremendous success judging by the smiles and enthusiastic comments. Hummelstown Field and Stream has reason to be proud of what was presented, but it was no simple matter completed by one person. It took a team to perform all the tasks, big and small, to get everything ready. In appreciation for those who helped, the following individuals and groups are recognized:
Bill Thompson for an amazing job coordinating the entire show and pulling all the volunteers together to make it such a huge success!!!
Paul Stokes for opening the club house, operating the security system, and doing every other thing he does around the club
Sheree and Paul Potteiger for their excellent food service
Brian Boyer for clearing ice from the driveway and parking areas
Members of the pistol team, including John, Don, Derrick, Steve, Tom, Paul and others who cleared and cleaned the floor, and who set up and removed the vendor tables
Derrick Grossman for helping to acquire the ATM machine
Kelly Wilder for helping to dismantle and store the vendor tables
Danny Butt for helping to dismantle and store the vendor tables
Jerry Angelo for helping to set up, dismantle, and store the vendor tables
Jeff Crichton for running the admissions table and for selling the club pictures
Roy Crichton for helping with the admissions table and checking guns for safety and security
Dawn Gribb for painting the direction signs
Randy Tyler for placing and removing the direction signs
Scott Deal for placing and removing the direction signs, and for helping with parking cars
Woody and Ethan Woods for helping with parking cars and for shuttling guests up and down the hill from the parking lots
Wayne Woods for lending the use of his buggy
Charlie Dietsch for helping with parking cars
Carmen Beinhauer for shuttling guests up and down the hill from the parking lots
Lawrence Templin for helping with parking cars
Mike Barton for lending the use of his buggy
Phil Zimmerman, Zimm’s Guns and Ammo (Hummelstown) for registering gun sales through his Federal Firearms License (FFL)
George Clark for helping to set up, dismantle, and store the vendor tables.
Dave Buffington, Hummelstown SUN, for the Gun Show advertisement
The numerous HFS members who circulated the Gun Show fliers to numerous venues
To all these individuals and groups, we say thank you for jobs well done!!
