Stanley Noggle

Stanley L. Noggle 97, of Harrisburg, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Noggle was born in New Cumberland and was the son of the late Charles Edwin and Pearl (Ulrich) Noggle.

He was retired from PP&L, where he was a chief steam serviceman and mechanic leader.

He was a member of the Hummelstown Field & Stream, Clover Club of Harrisburg where he was a life member, life member of the NRA and a founding member of the Patrick William Milano detachment 299, Marine Corps League of New Cumberland.

He enjoyed hunting and sporting clays. He was a veteran of WW II, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps., where he served in the Pacific Theater, in Tininan and Saipan.

Mr. Noggle was the widower of Dorothy Popovicki Noggle, who were married 72 years.

He was also predeceased by his sister, Florence Lentz and his brothers, Charles Noggle, Jr and Meryl “Jack” Noggle.

Mr. Noggle is survived by, his sister, Romaine Nitchman of Mechanicsburg; his brother, Ray (Esther) Noggle of Harrisburg; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11 A.M., at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. The Rev. Dr. Donald C. Wetzel will be officiating.

Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with Full Military Honors. A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10-11 A.M., at the funeral home, prior to the service.
