Please consider volunteering some of your time to help us keep YOUR club running smoothly and looking good. Whatever time you can afford, whether it’s a couple of hours, a day, weekly or monthly commitments, we would greatly appreciate it. We need help with:
– snow plowing
– cutting the grass
– trimming trees back
– maintaining the entrance to the club
– working the sporting clays table on Sundays
– weekly set up
We can’t do this without help from our members! If you can help with anything, please contact Paul Stokes at 717.577.4931. Thank you for your support!
To All Members:
Continuing intentional damage at the 25 & 50 yard rifle ranges MUST STOP!! It started with some members deciding it was fun to shoot the boards in half, to remedy this steel deflectors were installed at an expense to the club and the small number of members who actually do anything to help their club. Now members seem to think it is fun to shoot the deflectors. This causes bullet splatter to cut the top of the backers. This causes the backers to be unusable for the members that aren’t causing the damage.
Also on the Archery range members are shooting broadheads into the bags causing field points to pass through. The cost of replacement bags is Approx. $100 each, Another cost for your club and work for the small number of members who do the work that keeps this club open for the members.
While the membership is growing, the number of people working to help their club diminishes. That being said, if you see anyone destroying club property say something or get their name and give it to a club officer. If you see something that needs done, don’t be afraid to do it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also Club meeting is the 2nd Monday every month at 7:00PM at the clubhouse. All members are welcome to attend.
